Adopt an attitude of gratitude is week 6 topic on gratitude.

Since we are only a few days away from welcoming the new year, I intend in this article to do two things:

  1. Celebrate the end of 2021 to welcome the new year.
  2. End this year with Week 6 of The Gratitude Experiment Seven Part Series.

Before I cover Week 6 of The Gratitude Experiment, let us celebrate the end of 2021 together!

As you know, I equate personal development to evolution and progress. Therefore:

  • What is your biggest takeaway this year?
  • How has your year been?

As a follow-up, you can do this assessment process by reflecting on the following two questions:

  1. What are you willing to bring to the new year? and
  2. What do you desire to leave behind?

The transformational principle you need to assist you with your assessment process is the following: the law of cause and effect.

When you observe the law of cause and effect, you recognise that your attitude to life, which is the combination of your thoughts, feelings and actions is everything.

In other words, when you look at your results, in general, this year, you are able to assess whether you adopted a great or bad attitude to life.

If you did not get good results, I recommend getting the resources you need to change or improve your attitude. You might decide, for example, to let go of some habits which no longer serve you.

I recognise where, in my life, I need to improve my attitude. The biggest takeaway for me this year is that less is more. Therefore, I intend to simplify my life dramatically in 2022.

  • What about you?

I hope that the articles I shared this year have kept you grounded and served you as a great resource to become stronger emotionally, physically and spiritually to create more balance and harmony in your life.

As a reminder, here is what I shared with you this year:

  • I put a great emphasis on how to best cope with life changes. Therefore, I wrote several articles on the subject of life transition.

In addition, I shared several series, namely:

I intend through my writing to give you the tools and resources you need to build mental strength. As a result, you will feel more empowered and equipped to deal with life’s disruptors from the inside out.

In Week 6 of the Gratitude Experiment, I want to remind you that you become what you think about.

I firmly believe that the more grateful you are, the more goodness you attract in your life. Research shows that thoughts carry energy:

  • A negative thought carries negative energy.
  • A positive thought carries positive energy.

Therefore, to live your life with gratitude is a positive way of living. And developing an attitude of gratitude encourages you to think positively.

Tony Robbins says:

“When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.”

Should your life be filled with fear, and you desire a love-based existence and more goodness, start to develop the habit of gratitude daily. Focus on the goodness in everything and everyone.

This new perspective will shift your energy and create more positivity in your life.

Remember that "what you put your energy on grows."

Do you remember Nelson Mandela’s story I shared in week 3?

He was able to see a glimmer of humanity in one of the guards, perhaps for one second in the grimmest times in prison.

I am convinced that you too can see a glimmer of hope in your life.

I encourage you to attract more goodness in your life by developing an attitude of gratitude even when you feel down. I know you might be saying: "but this or that is happening... or nothing is going well..." Count your blessings regardless because I am sure you can think of ONE thing you are thankful for.

Develop an attitude of gratitude and make it a daily practice.

I could not think of a better way to end 2021 than introducing the Gratitude Experiment.

I am grateful to you, my readers and all the wonderful human beings who have been on my path this year.

As always, remember, when you say yes! to love, you say yes! to life.

I wish you a joyful new year’s eve celebration with your loved ones, family and friends. I look forward to connecting with you next Monday to welcome the new year.
