There is something rather magical about bridging the gap between setting a goal and achieving it.
One of the principles of personal achievement is that success, the result, the final destination or reaching the top of the mountain is not what is significant but rather the effort, the self-discipline, the courage, the perseverance you display throughout your journey to success.
Therefore, I want to share in this article that a vision for your life, a dream or an intentional goal is merely wishful thinking if you do not take action.
Let me give you an example you intend to increase your inner peace. However, you often get into arguments with others or get angry. It is clear that if you do not do the inner work to cultivate more inner peace, anger is an emotion you will find hard to manage.
A powerful question would be to ask yourself where your anger originates? Or what triggers uncontrollable anger in certain circumstances.
The action in this example is to get to know yourself better to build inner peace.
Unless you take some time to understand yourself, it is not easy to identify what you need to improve.
Since achieving your goal is very unlikely if you do not take action, you need to commit to personal growth and come out of your comfort zone.
I listened to an interview with Tony Robbins and Chalene Johnson about life purpose. Tony Robbins said something powerful: “Aliveness is in conquering your fear.”
Therefore, I encourage you to conquer your fear and challenge yourself to achieve your goals this year.
Your inner dialogue is one of more certainty when you feel the fear, release the brakes and do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. I am sure this will ring true to you.
Les Brown said: "If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside of your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness."
Should you want to transform your personal experience and improve the quality of your life, you need to allow yourself to come out of your comfort zone and stretch.
Remember that you could take a quantum leap or stretch step by step. Whatever you choose, you owe it to yourself to create more aliveness in your life from the inside out.
